Chuck Roberts, the legendary voice of ‘In The Beginning’, one of the tracks that became a Chicago House staple, has died after a battle with cancer. His voice became one of the most sampled in house music, and his iconic My House speech rang out in clubs across the world for decades. Originally released in 1987, the speech was later sampled in a re-release of Mr Fingers’ iconic Can U Feel It and was re-released by Ultra Music again in 2018. 

Voice-Swap had the honour of creating an AI voice model of Chuck’s voice, released in December 2023. Out of respect for Chuck and his family, we have temporarily taken his voice model down and will work with his estate over the coming weeks and months to ensure that his legacy is preserved according to their wishes.
