We're proud that our CEO, Ausrine Skarnulyte, will be speaking at the festival's centrepiece: the Creative Industries AI Summit.
The Creative Industries AI Summit
On Friday 9th October, leaders from music, screen, technology and politics meet to agree a shared, industry-wide position on AI, built around four anchors: licensing, provenance, attribution and enforcement. The day will shape The Manchester Principles, a new set of guidelines to protect human creativity and creator rights.
Speakers include Ian Murray MP, Minister for Creative Industries, Media and Online Safety; Bev Craig, Mayor of Greater Manchester; Grammy-winning artist Imogen Heap; Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart; Jo Twist, Chief Executive of the BPI; and Andrew Melchior, CTO of Massive Attack. Cliff Fluet of Lewis Silkin chairs the day.
Our panel: enforcement, deepfakes and digital replicas
Ausrine joins a panel hosted by Dani Deahl, Head of Communications & Creator Insights at BandLab, alongside Abbas Lightwalla, Jacob Simmons, Morgane Donse PhD and Marc Cieslak. Together they'll tackle three questions:
What does meaningful enforcement look like for creators?
Where does the law fall short on deepfakes and digital replicas?
How can platforms, industry and government work together to combat fraud and misuse?
These questions sit at the heart of what Voice-Swap is building.
If you're at Beyond The Music, come and say hello.
